It means the disk is copy-protected. Workaround:

a) Connect the cable box Either with HDMI or AV cables. You can't have both - Pick HDMI (say HDMI1) and make sure audio output is in PCM stereo NOT Dolby Digital.

b) When you want to watch a DVD
1) Turn off the set-top box
2) Turn on the DVD
3) Switch the TV to HDMI 2

There is NO way the cable box can block HDMI2 on the TV unless your TV is completely screwed up.
