My Comcast Cable Briefly Went Out, It's Flashing Berl. How Do I Fix It?

The power briefly went out, when it came back on, my cable box is flashing bErl. When I push the on button, there is just static. How do I reset the cable box?

You don't say who the manufacturer is, but it sounds like either the box is shot or it needs a remote reboot. Call your local cable office here: http://www.comcast.com/Corporate/shop/retail/StoreLocator.html

They may be able to fix it through the phone line.
