My Monthly Bills

I returned a rental modem to my local Comcast Office on 4/13/15 and received a written receipt. After six months of telephone calls and visits to my local office, I'm still being billed $10.00 a month for modem rental with threats of interest for late payment. I have paid the monthly bill but have not paid the modem rental each month. I would cancel the service but I'm a widow on fixed income and cannot afford a higher bill.It would be appreciated if you could resolve this problem for me.

Hello, unfortunately HelpOwl can't help you with this issue since we have no access to your Comcast account. You will have to contact Comcast directly to resolve the issue. You can reach them by phone at 800-934-6489, or you can chat online with a customer service agent here.

You are definitely not alone in having issues with Comcast and returned equipment. Once when I canceled service and returned all of the required equipment (with written receipt, like you have) Comcast hired a debt collector to go after me for what they erroneously thought were unpaid bills.

If you are not getting the response you would like from Comcast, you could try contacting the Better Business Bureau, or even the office of your local attorney general.
