Wont Come On

i just got this today, i charged it and it came on for like an our...now my computer won't recognize the usb cord that came with it and the device won't even turn on anymore...WHAT THE HELL!!!

I had this same problem and while I was reading your problem and looking for a solution and saw none. What you do is, take a bent paperclip or something small and hit the small button on the back that says "reset". I pressed this while plugged into the USB cords, so I am not sure if it would work without being plugged in or not. Don't worry, you will not lose all your songs, I just checked before answering. Hope this helps.
