Rotten Egg Smell

My car has a rotten egg smell all of sudden,  why?  110000 miles but runs smooth.  I am having a problem keeping the battery charged.  could it be the battery?

It is the battery check to see if it is leaking battery fluid this often gives off a rotton egg smell. Even a pin hole can cause it to leak and the smell is horrible.
