Tunderbolt On Dash

It's -9 outside. When I started up my 2007 Sebring the symbol came up and something I felt the hood was loud. What could it be?

It's cold & everything has to work harder to warm up. you may be hearing a fan belt slipping or an alternator bearing chattering. The warning is a fault in the electrical system. Once the car reaches standard operating temps everything may settle down. If the thunderbolt warning doesn't reset have it checked.
