Car Started And Shut Off 2 Seconds After.
I started my 2005 Chrysler 300 but shut off 2 seconds later. It did this one week ago and I left it alone until the next day when I call a locksmith who walk me through how to turn the key to the on position wait for the red bulb under the gas gauge to go off then start car. It worked and car was fine until today. I turn car on and 2 seconds later shut off, tried twice and did the same thing. This time when I tried what the locksmith had told me last week, I could not do because the red bulb is staying on. I read the manual and it says it means electrical problem. But electrical problems with what?

If it starts, runs for two seconds and dies abruptly then the problem is related to SKIM. SKIM uses the wireless control module in the dash which reads the transponder in the key to allow the engine to start and run. If the key, WCM and powertrain control module don't all agree then it will start and die, it shoudl do this three times and then lock the starter out.
If this is the issue then it could be a communication problem between modules, the key or the WCM itself. Try a second key if you have one.
If that doesn't help then try a battery disconnect. The WCM on these could sometimes lock up and would work again after a power cycle, the permanent repair would be replacing the WCM if that was the case but they'll often come back temporarily.
