Interior Neon Strips

i just bought a 2010 camaro ss with leather and my doors have the neon strips that light up at night, i seen a picture that made it look like it should go accross the front dash too, does it/ because mine are only in the doors and if they are supposed to go accross the front dash too id like to get it fixed
