Safety Inside The Trunk Release

Not sure of the exact question here. On pg. 2-14 of my 2006 Impala LS the emergency trunk handle is described as a glow in the dark handle near the latch inside the trunk. Mine is a white, t shaped plastic handle that indeed glows in the dark. It is a little difficult to get at, as it's embedded in the insulation. Didn't try it but, seems like it might be hard to pull.
