There are two tps sensors on the 2006 aveo.  One is located on the gas peddle and the other is located on the throtle body.  On mine when I got the tps error the sensors where good butbthe throttle body itself had a build up of carbon in it.  I took it to the dealer and they wanted me to replace it for $450 plus labor, found out I could take a can of throttle body cleaner and clean it good and it will take care of the sensor problem for about 30000 , miles.  Hope this helps!
