Tahoe With 140k Miles Pegs Oil Pressure Gage, Yet No Warning Light - Problem?

Oil level good, no overheating, yet oil pressure gage pegs to 80 psi when engine is running.  Find information around low oil pressure, but not high pressure.  What's the logical issue...sensor or gage?
