Ignition Coil Diagnosis
I placed a timing light across each of the coil wires and one showed that it was missing babdly while 2 others showed intermittent misses. Any way to make sure it is the coil and not something in the computer system?

Here's the old school way to check for a bad ignition coil. Remove one of the spark plugs and place the spark plug wire back on it. Hold the spark plug (wear gloves) close to a metal surface (radiator support, for example) and have someone crank the engine. If you see a weak yellow spark, then your coil is probably bad. If you have a strong, bluish spark, your coil is good.
Just be sure to wear heavy gloves to protect yourself from any chance of a shock from the plug and test the plug away from any fuel source.
