The key to replacing seat covers is to make sure they are soft and pliable. The best way to do that with vinyl or leather seat covers is to leave them out in the sun for a couple of hours before installing them. Set them on top of a piece of cardboard on pavement or cement (not in the grass). That will make them easier to work with and you won't have to use too much force to pull them over the seat.

If your seat is attached with hog rings, buy the correct replacement hog rings and hog ring pliers. You can do it with vise-grips or needle nose pliers, but hog ring pliers make the job much easier to do. Also remember not to stretch vinyl too much as it can rip, especially if you have any stitching on the vinyl. Patience Is the key to doing a good job.
