2002 Chevy Silverado, Roaring Wind Noise

I have roaring noise somewhere, sounds like under the hood. The faster I drive, the louder it becomes. At road speed, I put trans. in neutral and left it go to idle. Sound did not change until I slowed down. At city speeds it is not noticable. I played with heater fan speeds and it seems to lessen a little bit when I shut it off. I have 93000 miles on truck and it started about at 90,000 miles. Also, I can hear an air control door popping open and close under dash when I change the air flow control. Hope you can help. Ron B.
