First make sure coolant is at recommended level when car is cold. When car heats up to about 220 deg make sure front radiator fan is coming on at about this temp, if not check for bad relay and fuse under under hood on driver side I believe. Also make sure you do not see top or bottom radiator hose collapse due to aging. How long has it been since thermostat was changed as well as water pump, is pump leaking? If no trouble found here then have service person check plugs for signs of water burning off in cylinders. This can be seen on plug inspection, one plug will be real clean while others are carbon deposited. Could also be detected by cylinder pressure check. If positive then possible cracked head or least likely a leaking head gasket.
