Cover And Tailgate Lock

Just purchased a used 02 Avalanche.  Wondering if the tahnoe cover and tailgate locks are the truck key or a different key?  If it is a different key how hard is it to replace those locks?   thank you,   Mark

You use the truck key for the cover and tailgate. The only different key you will need is to lock the center console.
