Heater cores are always located on the passenger side of the vehicle and under the dash. There will be a few things in front of the heater core, so you may not be able to see it just by looking up under the dash.
You can see the metal heater core lines sticking out of the firewall in the engine compartment. There is a rubber hose attached to each line. That will give you an idea as to the exact location of the core.
Not hard to replace, but sometimes hard to access. You may have to remove the glove box and a few other parts to get to the core.
