Electric Brake

I have a 2000 chevy silverado. It does not have a trailer package. Or a 731st plug. I installed a 7way plug then bought a hopkins electric brake controller. And adapter for factory plug I'm.confused because it's tailing me to plug it into the 2nd plug 81st top of brake control connector panel. Can you tell me exactly which plug is for electric brakes for trailers
