2000 Chevolet Cavalier Won't Start,

Long story but I'm going to try and make it short and sweet.The ignition switch had been messed with.The key I have to jiggle the key around and it would work, start. Then while driving the car sometimes it would seam to instantly run out of gas but tank was full. I would let it sit for a few and try starting it again and it would start. Then one day it wouldn't start because of the ignition switch .Couldn't get the key to turn. So hot wired it. Anti theft light came on.When I hot wire the car I broke this little plastic part on the other side of the steering call-um from the ignition switch.I stopped on my way home and bought a new little plastic part that I broke. Although the car would not start with the new plastic part installed. I disconnected it and hot wired it again and drove home. That next day I installed a new ignition, installed the plastic part but car will not start. It turns over but will not start! Anti theft light is still on.Tried leaving the door open, turn ignition on for 10 min's,try starting and this seam like it was going to start but didn't. It sounded the some as when I poured Gas down in the carb from up top, like it was going to start but then didn't. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe your problem is stemming from the anti theft system that is part of the CPU on board your vehicle, you need to start with clearing that anti theft code, and if there are any engine codes being thrown i.e. check engine light, they need to be read and dealt with (or cleared at the very least) not entirely sure why it would turn off like it was out of gas though. Just take it one step at a time
