Help!

i have a 99 s10 pickup with the 4.3l i replace the front brakes and then dropped the jack. i started it up let it run for about a minute. i shut it off, about 5 minutes later my girlfriend was in the garage to help me bleed the brakes and the truck would roll over but wouldnt start. there is fuel in it and the fuel filter was replaced about 6 months ago and when you turn on the key i can hear the fuel pump running. any suggestions

sounds alot like your starter is shot. personally i would take the start out an take to autozone where they can test it to see if it is bad. ussally starters will just go out. is it a 5speed or automatic?
