Its 1999 Chevy Prizm. The Automatic Transmission Gear Shift Delays

I use a 1999 Chevy Prizm.  She is an autimatic transmission gear system.  I have detected the following about the car. 1.   The check engine light is on. 2.   There is delayed shift between the gears. The shift is eased and improves when i lift my foot slightly from accelerator pedal 3.  I just detected a leak in the transmission fluid.  (Its is redish) 4.  The cars proformance has generally reduced. What can i should i do? Thank you
