1998 Chevy Tracker 1.6 16 Valve With Internial Coil In Distributor Won't Start.

1998 chevy tracker timing belt jumped and smashed piston into valves.  we've replaced the head with one from a junk yard from a motor that was a running motor. Ours is a 1.6 16 valve motor with the internial coil built into the distributor. After seting timing and adjusting valve lash we tryed starting but no start we checked for spark a found out the spark was weak.  So we got a used one from a junk yard and dicovered it was also bad of corse thay only give you store credit and didn't have another one on hand so we learned how to check them and went to another junkyard to look at another one.  The guy was relucktant to let us check it but did and sure enough it was bad also.  In the meantime someone sugested the problem was most likely the crank sensor so after buying a new crank sensor and finding out that was not the problem we bought a remanufactured distributor and still no start.  We have spark, gas and good compresion.  Have replaced the roter, cap, wires and plugs.  Checked all the wires for the ignition that we could see.  Checked all fuses and relays.  This has not been a fun project as we have been working outside in freezing cold tempitures the last 5 weeks.  If anyone should have an idea what the problem may be from experiance please reply.  Thank you in advance for any help you my offer.
