My best guess would be the crankshaft position sensor is going bad. It's still working well enough to start the car, but acts up when it gets hot. I would replace that first and then worry about possible vapor lock if a new one doesn't stop the problem.
The crank sensor is always located either behind or next to the harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley). Here's what the part looks like for your car:
