Practicing With Metronome On Casio Wk-1630

I have a Casio WK-1630, and I want to PRACTICE with a metronome - NOT record. Is there any way to do that. ( I want to be able to slow it down or speed it up as I practice, so recording a single particular speed to play back will not work for me.)

According to the Metronome settings on page 46, it can only be used during record/playback, sorry.
