Is There A Maximum Sd Card Size?
We are trying a 8Gb card, but gets "card error", even if we try to format.

Go to Casio's web site - look for support and download any revised software for your camera. Read CAREFULLY the instructions on how to check the revision loaded in your camera... probably it will be 1.0.
The latest revision I found was 1.1 and installing it allowed up to an 8 gig card HOWEVER I also tried a 16 gig card and it appeared to work. The cards I tried were all SANDISK SDHC cards.
Casio asks for the numeric portion of your serial number before it lets you download the needed file. My camera had an "a" following the serial number but they don't say what the significance of the alpha suffix is.
