My Canon Powershot Sx40 Hs Won't Turn On.

Yesterday, after a month of not using it, I try to turn my camera on but it didn't respond. I thought it was a problem that had to do with charging, so I decided to charge the battery. Eventhough I charged the battery until it was full, the camera still didn't turn on...
