Canon Powershot A570is Eats Batteries
We have a Canon PowerShot A570IS that eats batteries and has since the day we bought it. Put in a fresh set and within a couple of hours - while taking 5-10 pictures - the camera says it needs new batteries. It does this no matter what brand of batteries are used. This camera has been back to Canon once to fix this problem and it still is no better. Is it safe to assume this camera is a LEMON? Was there ever a recall on this model? As it is, it is not usable for the purpose it was purchased for.... taking digital pictures.

Have you tried batteries with higher capacities? These are measured by mAH. The higher the capacity, the better. You can find Energizer or Duracell making batteries specifically for digital cameras and they are usually in the higher end of mAH spectrum. Usually 2000+ is really good.
If that doesn't help, I am afraid talking to Canon support is the best option because it would seem you got a dud again.
