10 Ornage/yellow Flashes

What does 10 flashes mean on the 4920 and what can be done short of taking it in? Cheaper to buy a new one but don't want to do that, either.

You do not have to wade through the manual. Here's the resolution as provided by Canon for "Orange light blinking 10 times":

Description:

Double sided printing cannot be performed (paper size not supported).

Resolution:

The sizes of paper suitable for double sided printing are A4, Letter, A5 and 5"x7"

Load correct paper size and press the [Resume/Cancel] button.
