Greetings - Error code 163 simply means that 1 or more cartridges are out of ink (it however gives the same arror when the printer fails to detect a cartridge - if you think the ink could really be out, then you will need to replace the empty cartridge - but if you just recently changed cartridges, then the printer may just need to be fidled with. Repost if you think it could'nt posssibly be an empty cartridge. Hope this helps.
