How To Correct Print Error 5b00?

How do I correct Print Error 5B00 indicating thet the ink absorber is full on a Canon PIXMA MX420 printer? The printer will no longer print, and I have been unable to reset the error message.

The error 5b00 requires resetting the ink counter which can be done by first turning off the printer. Then press the Stop button and simultaneously press the On/Off button of the printer. Release the Stop button without leaving the On/Off button and press the Stop button again twice. Do this till you see that the ink counter is reset by pressing the Stop button five times again and then twice the On/Off button. The printer will restart and your error will disappear.
