Why Does Video Record Only 10 Sec? Why Can't I Use My Touch Screen?

I don't understand why my new T4i records video for only 10 sec... It was working fine, then I replaced the memory card (with 16 gig from 32 gig) and now the video stops after a very short time.  Also, my touch screen (which originally was working fine) doesn't repond.  I can use the other buttons to access the menus, but even the 'touch shutter release' option is greyed out.  Hmmm...
