Canoscan Lide 100 Will Not Install

The scanner software does not install. Of coures, I unplugged the USB when installing, and I have tried the latest version of the software, too. No luck.

First, plug the scanner in to the computer with the USB cable. Then, let the computer go through the "installing hardware" routine. Then try running the disk. If no luck, use the management console to manually search the disc for driver update, then install software.
