My 1999 Deville D'elegance Pass. Side Temp Knob Blows Hot Only,wont Respond

The passenger temp controll knob,on the door, will not respond to it's dial ,but continues to blow hot air on pass side when the driver side climate controll panel is set for a cooler temp. How can I turn it OFF? , thanks , Terry --
