Is It Obvious? What Is The Location Of The Starter Enable Relay?

> Trying to find and replace the starter enable relay on a Buick 98 LeSabre, 3.8L. All diagnostic diagrams refer to a location inside the dash, above the steering column support. Using a powerful flash lantern to search the left (driver's)-side dashboard cavity, I found nothing resembling the starter enable relay I was given at a local (national chain) auto parts store. Can anyone give me landmarks / reference points for the relay location? A photo would help, but all photos I found on the internet, so far, are out of focus, or contain no point of orientation.

The starter enable relay on a 1998 Buick LeSabre is located behind the left side of the dash, left of the steering column. To access the relay, you will need to remove the fuse block cover and panel. The fuse block cover is held in place by two screws, located at the top and bottom of the cover. Once the screws are removed, the cover can be lifted up and removed. The fuse block panel is held in place by four screws, located at each corner of the panel. Once the screws are removed, the panel can be lifted up and removed. The starter enable relay is located in the top right corner of the fuse block panel. It is a small, black relay with a yellow wire coming from it.

Here are the steps on how to replace the starter enable relay on a 1998 Buick LeSabre:

Remove the fuse block cover and panel.

Locate the starter enable relay.

Disconnect the two wires from the relay.

Remove the relay from the fuse block panel.

Install the new relay in the fuse block panel.

Connect the two wires to the new relay.

Replace the fuse block cover and panel.

Here are some tips for replacing the starter enable relay on a 1998 Buick LeSabre:

Be careful not to damage the wires when disconnecting them from the relay.

Make sure that the new relay is installed in the correct location.

Reconnect the wires to the new relay in the correct order.

Replace the fuse block cover and panel.

If you are still having trouble finding the starter enable relay on your 1998 Buick LeSabre, you can consult your vehicle's service manual. The service manual will provide you with detailed instructions on how to locate and replace the starter enable relay.
