If it's water, then it could be that you windshield is leaking. But it is probably coolant from your heater core leaking onto the floor. Does it smell sweet inside your car?

The best way to tell if it's the heater core leaking is to start up the car and crank the heat up to high. If it's the heater core, your windshield will fog up and you may even see steam rising up from under the dash.

Heater cores are a pain to replace on your car. If it is a bad heater core, do yourself a favor and let your local garage do it. Not worth the hassle to do it yourself.
