Oil Pan

how do you get the oil pan off after the bolts are out its a buick renier

If there is enough clearance to remove the pan, the problem is probably the crankshaft is in the way. Try cranking the engine just a little and then try to remove the pan. Sometimes just a little turn of the crank will free up the pan. Do it a few times before trying something else.

If you're having trouble due to clearance, then that's another problem. If you can''t just drop the pan down, then the engine support frame is in the way. If that's the case, you will have to loosen (even remove) the motor mount bolts and jack up the engine until the pan clears the frame. Be careful! You don't want to drop the engine on your hand!
