I Opened The Glove Compartment Of My Rendezvous And Heard A Strange Humming Nois

I then closed the compartment and tried starting the car.    The car has not been driven in a few months and the battery was quite low. I tried starting the car and it would not start and the instrument panel went crazy with lights and clicking noises.  I turned the key to OFF and tried starting the car again and it would not turn over. No sound at all.
