Front Bumper Replacement Or Fix

We were the victim of a hit and run and the front bumper on our 2005 Rainier is now knock askew.  I imagine I need to take the bumper completely off and then re-install it.  How difficult is that to do? The estimate i have to replace the bumper is $1295.00. Yikes!
