Where Is The Oil Container, Under The Hood, In A Buick Regal Ls 2002 ?

A "low oil' signal came on my dashboard. I bought motor oil but was unable to find the motor oil container under the hood. I had to go to a garage. Before the mechanic put the car on a lift, he unscrewed all sorts of things from under the hood and then, proceeded to dismantle more things underHL the car ... for a simple oil refill. Now, it's a month later and that "low oil" signal is back on my dashboard. I owned other cars and never had this problem.
