Fuel Pump

my fuel pump sounds very lound and can be heard often.I am the 2nd owner. Is reaching 47k miles.I am certain this is the original pump.I hope this does not mean it is going out.Is the delphi pump the best replacement pump.                                   Thank you                                     Will Celevich
