Start by removing the Serpentine belt, this requires a special tool in some cases to relieve the tension on the belt. In some cases you can use a socket that fits the idler pulley (belt tensioner) and a breaker bar to relieve the tension and remove the belt. Next remove the bolts holding the power steering pump to the engine and lift the pump upward. This will give you access to the power steering hoses and these must be removed before the pump can be completely removed. Install in reverse order, fill reservoir with fluid and start car, turn steering wheel lock to lock several times to purge any air in the system.
