You could try spraying carburetor cleaner into your car's throttle body. A dirty throttle body would make the car hard to start. Remove the air cleaner setup that attaches to the throttle body and spray short bursts into the opening with the car running. Have a friend rev the engine while you do it or the car will stall. Just be careful with carb cleaner. It is very flammable. Hold the can at arm's length when you spray into the throttle body, in case of a backfire.
