2. Take needle plate B (Cover for the bobbin) and the needle plate A off the machine and confirm that there is not a thread jam in the hook area.
3. Take bobbin and bobbin case out of the machine and clean any debris that is in the hook area.
4. Insert the bobbin case back into the correct position. Make sure that the projection (part that sticks out marked in blue on the bobbin case) aligns with the spring.

5. Now confirm if the machine is locked by turning the hand wheel toward the front of the machine.
If the hand will not turn, take your machine to the nearest Authorized Brother Dealer for repair.
If the machine is in warranty, call Brother Customer Service at 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) for warranty options.
If the machine is out of warranty, contact a Brother Authorized Service Center for repair by clicking on the link below:
