How To Get The Label To Print At The Size You Request?

I have model 2300/2310 label printer, i have selected the size to print the word but when printing, it keeps asking me CHR size AUTO? i don't want it to go to the auto size as somehow it is set at the largest size. And i don't know how to reformat. tried everything. It should have a selection to say no.
