Brother Dcp-j140w Printer Has An Error When Installing

I try to install my brother printer and when it finish it popped that it has an error and it says i need to connect it to a network. but when i print using ms word.. it is fine. but when it comes to ms excel and in pdf suddenly it cannot print. i try to set the printer in to default printer using devices and printer located in start button of my Windows 7 32 bit but still the error appears. Can anyone help me???
