what is the meaning about F5/E6 errors?

Greetings - Brother recommends that when this error f5/e6 is encountered, the owner should have an authorised techman taking a look on the product as it is belives to be advanced (or of cause the warranty department if the machine is still uner warranty) - however, a fellow user of a similar Brother product reports to have succefully cleared this error by opening the unit up and clean it up.
