Laptop Exchange Without Receipt For Protection Plan
I bought an hp laptop last summer with a 1 year full protection plan. Paid cash. It's developed a few problems and I want to exchange it a new one. The receipt for the extended plan has inexplicably gone missing. If found, great. If NOT, how do I go about exchanging it without a defcon 1 situation arising if I in fact cannot recover and present the receipt. Wouldnt Best Buy have copy, a record of my purchase of the laptop as well the extended plan?

You do not need a reciept to use the protection plan as long as the information you provide, and the item's serial number match with the records Best Buy has.
