Setting Water Hardness Level
I have tried to set the water hardness level ( live in a soft water area) but the instructions do not make sense. There is no on off switch and no illuminated display as the manual describes. Can you explain how to do it please

This worked for my DFN05X10W. The instruction booklet is very misleading.
- 1) ON at socket switch
- 2) Dial to 'OFF'
- 3) Press and hold 'Start/Stop'
- 4) Set dial to 1 - 'Eco 50'
- 5) Green 'ON' light now comes on for about 1 second
- 6) Three lights below the ON light now come on, with a pattern corresponding to the current programme [These remain for 3 seconds, then the 'Wash' indicator comes on]
- 7) Before the 3 seconds is up, turn the dial to the desired program.
- 8) The light pattern will now come up for the desired programme.
- 9) Release 'Start/Stop'
- 10) Press 'Start/Stop' once and release (to store new programme)
Level Lights
- 1 Green 'Washing' indicator on
- 2 Green 'Drying' indicator on
- 3 Red 'End' indicator on
- 4 All 3 indicators on
- 5 All 3 indicators flashing
