How Do You Connect An Acoustic Guitar To The Preamp

I'm not sure of the exact model guitar or pre-amp you are using so I will provide a few examples.
If you are using a standard acoustic with no on-board preamp or electric capabilities then you will need to add another link to the chain first. Two viale options are 1)micing the guitar with a stand and microphone, or 2)purchasing a pick up for acoustic guitars. If you mic the guitar, you will run the XRL cable into the preamp(some microphones also have a built in vocal preamp). If you are adding a pickup or already have an on-board pickup, then simply find the output port on your guitar and run a cable to your preamp. This applies to both stand alone preamps lke Sansamp as well as the preamps built into stand-alone head or combo amplifiers.
