How Can Bofa Give Multimillion Dollar Payout To Fired Executives?

NY Times, October 8, 2011 Business Section detailed a $6M payout to a Ms. Krawcheck, and a $5M payout to a Mr. Price, both of whom were essentially fired. At the same time, citing a need to increase profits, the bank is imposing a $5 per month fee for use of a bank debit card. Please tell me how the bank has $11 million to pay out to fired personnel. These are my deposit funds you are using, and seeing both of these actions outrages me.
